Welcome, welcome, welcome! Yes, it’s true, we are nearing the end of our ranking szn. Don’t be sad because it’s ending but be happy because it happened! And be happy as this means it’s time for one of the crowning ranks – The Dynasty Guru’s Annual Top 500 Dynasty Players for OBP Leagues.

For clarity, the list is designed to be most useful for 15 team rotisserie leagues that use OBP, QS, and SVH as categories. Additionally, the league design we used for ranking includes one catcher and rosters a theoretical 450 players in total. The categories we built the rankings for are being used more commonly with each passing year, though I don’t think we can call them the dynasty industry standard. Your individual league variations such as size and scoring categories can impact specific player ranks but even then this list should supply an excellent start for your baseline valuations.

This year our list was handcrafted by myself and two other of our most dedicated rankers – Brett Cook and Greg Hoogkamp. Similarly to TDG’s positional ranks, the three of us first set out by making our personal ranks. We weighted our 3-year projections in decreasing value the further we looked. After we created our own ranks, we averaged out the scores and discussed the results. Because each of us has differing opinions on the value of stable vets versus upcoming prospects this allows for a more tempered approach. The annual TDG OBP list is special in this result and our combined efforts allow the final list to not be swayed completely by a singular ranker’s bias.

Lastly, I want to point out that this list stops at 500 despite the fact that our team ranked 607 total players. If you’re interested in seeing the complete list, you can donate and join our discord! Thanks to everyone, Discord members and beyond, for checking our list out. We know you have lots of sources these days for your dynasty baseball content and we love that you include us at TDG as a part of it! Please give us a follow on twitter as well: Greg can be found @GregHoogkamp, Brett is @BeautyofGrace32, and I can be reached at @notnotcknock.

Enjoy!
