The Top 34 Dynasty Basketball Rookies, Summer League Update
I thought that the 2018 Summer League did more to change my opinion of players than ever before. It could be a fluke (it’s probably a fluke), but it also be that the difference between NCAA basketball and pro basketball has never been wider. Kevin Knox demonstrated ball handling skills, a responsibility that he rarely had in Kentucky. Wendell Carter finally got to play some center after being miscast as ‘four’ in college. There’s also unusual cases such as Mitchell Robinson, an uber athlete and top high school recruit who fell to the second round in part because he had not played organized basketball in a year. If I had any guts I would rank Robinson ahead of Marvin Bagley, who I’ve always felt was a reach at pick number two.
With that in mind, it was important to get an update out reflecting some of those opinion changes. Feel free to ask questions in the comments section, but I am frequently on Twitter (@TomTrudeau).
