Razzball, Imaginary Brick Wall Release Prospect Rankings

As a free site, we’re committed to providing our readers with the very best free dynasty fantasy content whenever possible. Sometimes that free content comes from other sites, such as this past weekend when we referenced John Sickels top 200 (real life) prospects.

Today we’d like to call attention to Imaginary Brick Wall’s Updated top 50 first-year player draft rankings and Razzball’s top 100 fantasy prospect list.

Over at IBW – Nick Senzel senzibly claims the top spot, but author Michael Halpern gets bold right away, ranking (hopefully) catcher Zach Collins second overall. TDG baseball team collectively is skeptical about Collins’ ability to stick behind the dish. Me personally? The position is so depressing that I’m inclined to gamble on him.

One player I’d call out in (particularly because he did not quite make our consensus third base ranks) is Brewers’ second round pick, Lucas Erceg. If you’re a fan of scouting the box score, Erceg excelled in his professional debut. While I’m light on details, I’ve seen a number of reports that Erceg fell to the second round due to off the field issues. This isn’t *good* per se, but if you prefer to invest in talent over makeup, Erceg may come at a relative discount based on his not-a-first-round-pick pedigree.

Meanwhile, at Razzball – Andrew Benintendi and Yoan Moncada are first and second overall among prospects. After Benintendi, Brendan Rodgers is likely my number one or two overall fantasy prospect, but Rodgers is number seven on ‘ list.

Enjoy other peoples’ work, enjoy your weekends and look out for some of these names on both the #Dynasty500, which will be released in March, and our own dynasty prospect list (200-250 names deep) in a few of weeks.

Awesome, Tom. Thanks for that quick write-up. I just think if any organization is going to let Collins stick at catcher, it is the White Sox. And even if he doesn’t, the very top college bats have been some of the fastest risers and impact contributors over the past few seasons.

Any update on when your prospect dynasty list will be posted? Doing a prospect draft in my league now

Looks like the staff have all made their individual ranks so any day now. If you have specific Q’s the Facebook group is a valuable tool where people ask their league-specific questions.
