Trader’s Corner: The Beat Goes on

Other than winning piles of cash, trading is the most exciting part of playing fantasy baseball. When you make that epic trade in your league it is always fun to see how other people think you did. Here is your chance to both share your triumphs and register your vote on other peoples’ deals.

The big movers this week were Addison Russell, Kris Bryant and Javier Baez. Why are the Cubs being dealt so often? Other players involved in multiple deals are Yasiel Puig, Josh Donaldson and Carlos Carrasco. Lucas Giolito has been dealt quite a bit as well. I guess owners are worried about the top pitching prospect’s poor start to the season.

Recent weeks saw a lot of trades involving Carlos Correa, Manny Machado and Bryce Harper but that action has cooled off. I guess anyone who was willing to let go of those superstars has already been deprived of their services.

You can join in the action two ways: 1) Vote on these trades to make your opinion count. 2) Submit your own trades for us to vote on in the next Trader’s Corner. Use the form below to submit your trade.

Vote for the players you would rather have.

“J” sent in this whopper of a trade from his 14 team, OPS league with 45 man rosters.:

Chris Marcum poses an interesting question for us to ponder. You have three choices on this one. “I’ve got a guy interested in Aledmys Diaz. I have Trea Turner stashed. Pick 1 of these 3 options in a keeper points league.”

Jason is currently in 2nd place in his 10 team, 6×6 dynasty league. They roster 35 MLB and 7 MiLB players and use a $350 salary cap:

Classic sell the farm to win now trade. Giving up some cheap, non-elite prospects for expensive veterans who are off to poor starts.

Ron made two trades in his 10 team keeper league:

Turning Giolito/Baez into Polanco/Rodon is a very nice swap indeed in my book.

Pat says “I play in a 20 team dynasty league. I sent Freddie Freeman to another team for Ian Haap, Nick Williams and Tyson Ross. How’d I do?”

Andy T plays in a 16 team, 6×6 dynasty league.:

Casey sent this one in:

Dan sent this one from his 15 team, 8×8, NL-only league with 9 keepers.:

Ced is rebuilding his squad in a 30 team H2H league.:

HEAA sent this trade in for our opinion.:

Brad Clark sent in this straight up, one-for-one trade.:

Paul L is back again… “Brief league background: 15 team mixed dynasty league: $250 draft budget, A/B/C/D contract terms with 3/4/7 dollar keeper price increase (after D contract player is added back to the pool). Is there a scenario where Piscotty is a 90+ RBI/Runs guy, story hits 35 dingers, and Cobb returns to pre-surgery form that makes this trade not worth the dynastic cornerstone that is Carlos Correa & his minuscule contract?”:

Anthony’s league uses standard 5×5 scoring plus OBP and XBH for hitters and QS and HLD for pitchers. It is a dynasty, keep forever, no salaries league.:

Louis playes in a 7×7 league:

John plays in a 15 team AL-only league with 9 keepers:

Shane phones in from his 20 team, H2H league where you keep your entire 25 man roster:

Tim wants our vote.:

Sonny L is back in action from his 12 team, 5×5, H2H dynasty keep-forever league.:

Sonny L again from a different league. This one is a 12-team, 40-man roster, points, dynasty league with $400 budget and salary increasing $2 for players in majors, $1 for players in minors per year:

Jon Smith has a dynasty trade for us to review:

Jason plays in a 20 team league similar to the TDGX experts’ dynasty league. He sent in two trades:

Alexander Firth submitted his deal from a 20 team cap dynasty league with 40 man MLB rosters.:

Aaron plays in a 12 team, H2H categories dynasty league:

Jeremy Alexander submitted this for our voting pleasure:

Charles plays in full dynasty league:

Magnus seeks our vote from his 16 team, 5×5 dynasty league with OPB and QS instead of AVG and Wins.:

Nick says, “Took over a terribly mismanaged bottom-feeder in an extremely active, extremely competitive 16-team 6×6 (OBP/SLG/R/HR/RBI, K/QS/ERA/WHIP/K:BB/SV+HLD). Have made a lot of trades but here are my 2 biggest:

Andrew T finishes us off for the week with this trade from his 16 team, 6×6, full dynasty league:
