Trader’s Corner: Deadline Deals
As exciting as the MLB trade deadline was for all of us last week, it’s equally exciting for fantasy owners when their league trade deadline draws near. Over the next two weeks, we’ll look at a few moves that readers have made and give you the chance to vote on which side won each deal. As always, you can send in your pending or completed trades to traderscornertdg@gmail.com. Please include as much relevant info as you can so your trade can be assessed fairly. I’m really excited about how many trades have come in this year and we may even have enough to do something similar in the offseason, since we all know there really is no offseason in dynasty leagues. Speaking of which, if you’re not already listening to the TINO podcast with Bret, Ben, Craig, and Mau you are really missing out. It’s a fun way to keep up on the dynasty league news and hear their opinions/analysis on all things dynasty.
Here are this week’s trades…

14 team keeper. Possible huge trade going on today. I am 3rd this year, but looking to win next year. I am top in the league in several offensive categories (HR, RBI) and pitching, but middle or worse in AVG and SB. Looking to move Cespedes and Archie Bradley for Billy Hamilton.
Considering a solid HR crew (Desmond, Gomez, Springer, Zunino, Singleton, Kris Bryant) for next year, does it make sense to move Cespedes to get a guy that can win me the league in SB next year, and also not hurt in other categories?
Thanks

Hey Mike,
20-T Dynasty H2H points league. I’ve been rebuilding for 2 years, and finally starting to see these guys come up. My prospects are starting to shift from building blocks to currency to make a stronger team. It’s a pitching-heavy point schedule, and I have two offers:
I send Marcus Stroman and Matt Wisler, and I can get Garrett Richards or Buster Posey.
I have a medium chance of competing next year. Should I cash in on some prospects and make a go, or hold and pass on Richards or Posey? Is Stroman the kind of guy who can be Richards next year?
Stroman can be really good and he’s 3 years younger than Richards I think. That said, if you have a chance to compete next year, I’d be all for trading a couple young arms for an MLB bat like Posey.
Would you trade Rendon for Pedroia and H. Harvey if your a rebuilding team?
nah, I’d want to build around Rendon instead of trading him away
